Karma

Well the title says it all...Karma... Yesterday, I was thinking about the events that have happened in my life whether good or bad. There are times in your life when you feel alone and perturbed, when you feel that everyone has left you but still someone knocks your door to console you and look after you. At that moment you realize what have you earned in your life. It’s your good Karma that stays with you.

Sometimes you do something good for someone without any expectation of receiving something in return, you may not get the benefit at that point of time, but definitely someone will return that favor to you might be in some other form.

It's an old saying whatever you sow, you reap, i.e. if you do good with others, you will get the same. But if you think bad of others or hurt anyone, then you will get the same. It's not your destiny that plays a vital role but it's your karma that will lead your life.

Even Lord Krishna said the same, “Karma kro fal ki chinta mat kro ". But instead of shifting our focus on things that we need to do, we start wondering that why this thing didn't happened or why I couldn't achieve this, etc...

Some other focuses on bad karma i.e. how to bring others down by hook or crook. We don't understand the fact that we have been awarded this life by God for a purpose. We all have a purpose in life that we need to find. Life is a gift to us and we can only achieve salvation if we practice good karma.

Remember at your death bed, you will be all alone but what will stay with you is your karma...

Tagged

Well, the title suggests something....isn't it ?In this perfect world, (read as virtual ) of facebook and twitters, the new trend is to tag it. If you dress up a little, you are going to a party and if you dress up normal, you are a shabby lot. If you hang around with the opposite sex, then there is cooking something and if you don't , then you are outdated ( 1960's model to be precise ). If you are thin, then people will mock at you and if you are fat , then still the same torture.  I mean what the heck is wrong with being yourself and not pretending to be perfect. In fact nobody is perfect. I proudly say I am imperfect. I make mistakes, learn from them and move forward. For starters, I don't have a perfect body, can't walk gracefully. I have curves and don't really flaunt them. I talk and laugh loudly, unaware of my gestures. Is it really a shame to be yourself these days. If you don't score high, then your future is scorned ( poor kids these days ). How can everybody be equally smart and pass with higher grades.
So, can we atleast stop tagging people and respect their individuality or else  world will be a market of wannabes who deemed to be perfect but of no use. Think about it.

Kabhi Haan, Kabhi Naa

No, I am not talking about the Shahrukh Khan movie but about our state of mind.
This is what exactly we all are these days, i.e. indecisive. A new Gen X - disease. Why is it so that it becomes so difficult for all of us to take a decision and to stand by it. Especially talking about our generation, we are so damn confused, whether its food, education or relationships. Should I eat pizza or pasta, should I do MBA or Govt Job......

We all are confused. The causes could be many, the obvious being the many choices available for each and everything ( even in relationships- if you don't fit in, there is somebody else ). Also, the lack of  power to take decisions and being easily influenced by our peers ( read as Peer Pressure ). All this leads to confusion and thus we look for advises from others.

But is this really a  big issue ? No, its just our mindset. The day we will realize what we exactly want will be the day that all this confusion will stop and peace will conquer.

Instant Love

Nice Title isn't it ?

These days when everything is instant from food to shopping ( you can buy everything in just a click ), then why not love !!!

People meet one day, they become friends and next day they are in a relationship. What comes up next-
Relationship status is changed on FB, selfies are clicked, day and night chats on Whats App, hanging around.

After a week-

Boredom strucks in, fights creep in, talking day and night seems to be encroaching each other's personal space.

Result- Instant Break up and then search will start again. It sounds funny but this is the reality. The other day I was talking to a friend who was confused about proposing someone. The reason was not rejection but the choices, too many to choose from ( one a smarty, one a simpleton and the list goes on.. ).

Facts says that the speed with which people committis half the speed with which they break up. Its because we lack the patience in everything that we do. Every relationship needs time and nuturing. Love is not a thing. Its a deep feeling.

Remember love can't be ordered over a click like a pizza !!!

Mahabharta

The Title itself gives way to a lot of thoughts. What this cud relate to ?

Few days back, I was watching Mahabharta on T.V. and felt shocked with Cheerharan episode ( everybody watching the drama including Bheeshma Pitamah, Dronacharya, Pandavas in the name of Dharma ). I mean in today's world, its so common but our history is filled with such examples. In Ramayan, Ravan kidnaps Sita and almost forces her to marry him ( kidnapping someone's wife ). So, this ill treatment is not a sudden outburst, it dates back to Satyug. Women were always treated like an object and the situation is still the same.

However, the only difference is that atleast at that time people were there to fight for  women, as, that's how wars took place ( killing of Ravan or Kauravas in Mahabharta ). Atleast guilties used to get their rewards sooner or later.

But today we have to fight for our own self, every minute, every second. Whether for our respect, rights or survival. Everywhere its the same. We all witness these people ( Duryodhan, Ravan ).

So, Keep fighting and never loose hope because someday we will win !!

Contemplate

As I sit down to pen down my feelings, I wonder what is the thing that I want to write or what is the thing that is yet to be written. Life is a book in itself, where each day is a lesson. But the point is that do we actually learn from them.

Answer is No because we are too busy in doing nothing that we ignore everything else important. For example-Whenever, we are upset, we start questioning God, instead of looking on the situation and our role in it. We are so engaged and preoccupied in our lives running after things ( like a mad rat race ), that we hardly bother to stop for a while and contemplate on our actions.

The problem with us is that we worry about life's situations and conditions instead of contemplating on them. There is a saying- Chintan kijiye, chinta nahin. The solutions are all within us, but we scrounge them in the outer world, in books, people and things.

So, next time if you feel that you seek help, then just close your eyes, take a deep breath and listen quitely to your inner voice, as where lies all your answers.

Bhoot

Kya aap aatma mein vishwaas karte hain ? This is a dialogue that we all must have heard in most of the haunted movies, but the question is that do we really believe in ghosts ?
I guess we do and at some point of our life, we might have felt something  ( read as strange ), considering the stories and the superstitions attached with it. Ok, me not scaring anyone. Science might have refused the existence of ghosts but my beliefs are different. We all believe in God but we haven’t seen him, then why do we defy the existence of ghosts, just because we haven’t seen any.

What do you mean by ghosts/spirits ( bhoot/aatma ) ?
For me this is the negative energy that surrounds us in the form of anger, jealousy, greed, pride, etc etc. So, this would mean that we all have a ghost inbuilt in us compensated by the positive/good energy . Now, it depends on us, how we deal with it and whom we give more importance to the positive or the negative.
The day we fight over this bhoot in us will be the day when world will become a better place to live in.
